Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing SkinMatch ("the Service") you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. What SkinMatch does

SkinMatch is an informational tool that scans skincare ingredient lists and suggests products with similar formulations. Results are generated by AI and are provided for convenience only.

⚠️ Not medical advice. SkinMatch does not diagnose, treat, or cure any skin condition. If you have a skin concern — allergies, reactions, acne, rosacea, eczema, pigmentation — consult a licensed dermatologist. Always patch-test new products.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have a parent or guardian's consent.

4. Your account

• You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe.
• You may not share your account or impersonate another person.
• We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, rate-limit-bypass, or reverse-engineer the Service.
• Upload illegal, infringing, harassing, or malicious content.
• Submit fake or misleading ingredient data via the contribute feature.
• Use the Service to harm, deceive, or defraud others.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.

6. User-submitted content

When you upload photos, enter ingredient lists, or submit data through the contribute feature ("User Content"), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use that content to operate and improve the Service. You retain ownership of your content.

You represent that you have the right to share the content you submit and that it does not violate any third-party rights.

7. Intellectual property

The SkinMatch name, logo, design, and software are owned by us. You may not copy or redistribute them without permission.

8. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that ingredient analyses are accurate, that recommended products will work for your skin, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, SkinMatch is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including skin reactions, purchase decisions, or financial loss. Our total liability is limited to what you've paid us in the last 12 months (currently $0 since the Service is free).

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of Thailand.
